Yellow Blaze Lithobates

The Yellow Blaze Lithobates is a Haplochromis native to Lake Malawi where it lives around the rocks and caves of Zimbawe Rock. Males exhibit a fiery streak of electric color down the dorsal fin that really stands out against its rich blue coloring. They are considered to be mildly aggressive. They can live peacefully with a select variety of other fish without displaying aggression.

These cichlids don’t get too big and are similar in size to many of the Peacocks cichlids from Lake Malawi. Male will grow to a maximum of 6″ inches.
