aulonocara stuartgranti

General – This fish has several names, but the most common is the Sunshine Peacock. Some are labeled based on which portion of the lake they were found. Some are more orange and some are more yellow, you can see the difference with the pictures below. It’s hard to find a bright yellow without any discoloration.

Tank Requirement – 55G minimum.

Compatibility – This fish is compatible with all other peacocks and haps.

Aggression – Based on my experience, this is an aggressive fish. Some websites labeled them as semi-aggressive, but of all the ones I have are always the more aggressive fish in the aquarium.

Size – 5-6″ inches.

Male vs Female – Males are yellow/orange with a blue head. Females are gray and silver only.
